The line graph illustrates the amount of money spent by UK citizens in traveling overseas between 1993 and 2013. From the four different purposes of their trip, including holiday, business purpose, visiting friends and other purposes, the highest spending was on vocational trip compares to the other categories over these 20 years.
As can be seen in the graph that, UK residents spent £9 billion for holiday abroad in 1993 by which this number significantly increase during more than a decade later until it reached a peak at £25 billion in 2008. Although it experienced considerable fall in the next few years, this amount increased with around £24 billion prior to 2013.
