The image depicts two maps of Stokeford from 1930 and 2010. In 1930: notable elements include one primary school, a post office, shops, a bridge over the River Stoke, gardens, and farmland on both northern and southern peripheries with houses scattered mainly along a central road. By 2010: the area shows increased residential expansion with houses densely populating the village, and farmland is replaced by residential development; a retirement home appears near the south end, replacing some previous garden space, while the post office and primary school remain. The bridge still connects the main road across the river, maintaining the original village's central road layout.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The maps shows the development which the village of Stokeford experienced over a period of 80 years between 1930 and 2010.

Overall, Stokeford experienced significant expansion and modernization. The village changed from a simple town with layouts focused around river to a more urban area with less of leisure facilities.

To begin with, in 1930 village was relatively sparsed consisting only of a residental house area and farmland near the river. By, 2010 the retirement houses had been replaced to the north-east near the primary school. Furthermore, the shops had been removed and replaced by detached houses.

Another striking change is the redevelopment of the road. The new covered road has been constructed. Alos, the garden had been cut down. To the north-west, a number of residental houses had been built and settled. A notable change has been the disappearence of cropland. Which is used to occupy a vast amount of land.
