The process diagram illustrates the manufacturing of orange juice.
Overall, the procedure starts with delivering oranges to the factory and ends at two different points. The process diverges into two paths in between to give two by-products.
The process diagram starts with transporting fresh oranges to the factory. From there on, the oranges are thoroughly washed in a machine. After being washed, the oranges go through a moving platform towards a mechanical equipment where the extraction of the oranges takes place. The extraction process results in two by-products, one is fresh juice while the other is waste solid. Waste solid is then utilised as animal feed. From fresh juice onwards, the whole process divides into two different paths. One is where the fresh juice is kept as it is, then packed, and then delivered to shops.
The other path is where orange juice is further enhanced and turned into concentrated juice. For this, the fresh juice is stored in a refrigerator truck and then is moved to an evaporation plant. Subsequently, evaporation takes place here, and water evaporates, leaving behind concentrated juice. The concentrated juice is then canned and then stocked in a warehouse via a transport vehicle. From there on, it is transported to the factory where water is added to the canned juice. It is then packed and supplied to the shops.
