The illustrations depict the requirements and machinery for cement-making along with its purpose in concrete production.
Overall, the process of cement and concrete manufacture is complex and sequential. It combines the usage of several materials, which, together with certain devices, contribute to achieving the desired substance.
To start with, limestone and clay are simultaneously crushed and transferred to a mixer. Before that, the materials require the addition of a powder to be suitable for mixing. Besides, the belt is utilized for moving the mixture to a rotating heater, where the heat will melt the substance. Next, a grinder proceeds to chop the cement into the necessary smaller pieces. Lastly, the grinds of cement are packed into bags to complete the utilization readiness.
Proceeding with the concrete production, it is composed of four different materials: cement, water, sand, and gravel. Thus, cement forms only 15% of the entire structure, whereas water contributes to one-tenth of it. Moreover, one-fourth accounts for sand, while gravel makes up 50%. This way, those fossil fuels are mixed in a concrete mixer to form concrete in the end.
