The line graph illustrates the average time taken by different car manufacturers in producing vehicles at their factories which were located in the US from 1998 to 2005. Overall, it can be clearly seen that all four car fabrications displayed a dropping trend in the number of hours producing vehicles. General Motor hit the highest point at the beginning.
In 1998, General Motor reached a peak at 32 hours which was around twice as much as Toyota. In the next 7 years, there was a significant decline in the amount of time from 32 to approximately 22 hours in General Motor. The year 2001 witnessed a remarkable growth with Ford which rose to nearly 32 hours. Afterwards, a dramatic decrease in it was recorded.
The amount of time spent on producing Toyota vehicles reached a fluctuation from 1998 to 2002 around 23 hours. Until 2005, it fell to a low of 20 hours. After the decline from 1998 to 1999 in Honda, the amount increased markedly, before falling moderately to 20 hours in 2005.
