The line chart illustrates the proportion of secondary school teachers under 30 years of age in four countries over a seven-year period, commencing in 2010.
Overall, it is apparent that while there was a downward trend registered in Brazil and Luxembourg, the other two nations witnessed the opposite pattern, with the most dramatic rise being depicted in Japan.
Looking first at Brazil and Luxembourg, the share of young educators in Brazil started at around 20% in 2010, which was slightly higher than that of Luxembourg, standing at about 17%. Following this, a steady decline was registered in Brazil, with its figure ending at around 13% in 2017. Likewise, a remarkable decrease was seen in Luxembourg, where the percentage dropped to exactly 10% by the end of the period.
Turning to Japan and the Czech Republic, around 9% of secondary school teachers were under 30 years old in Japan in 2010, compared to roughly 5% in the Czech Republic. After this point, a dramatic jump was recorded in Japan, with the figure climbing significantly to reach approximately 16% in 2017. In contrast, the Czech Republic displayed a much more moderate increase, finishing at nearly 7% in the final year.
