Firstly, Australia and Brazil experienced a downward trend, started by 21.9% and 62.2% in 1990 and then down by 0.6% for Australia and by 5% for Brazil in the year 2005. In the projected number in 2015, both seem to keep going low by approximately 20% in Australia and 53.5% in Brazil.
However, New Zealand and Chile discovered a climb up in amount of forest land, starting off with 28.8% and 20.4% by year 1990, grew by 31% in New Zealand and 21.5% in Chile after 15 years. This growth remained in the estimated year 2015 up by 2.3% for New Zealand and 0.5% in Chile.
