The given maps illustrate how Felixstone changed from 1967 to 2001.
In general, the Felixstone town underwent a radical change, with the most noticeable changes being the replacement of farmland, marina, and fishmarket with the facility systems and types of beach. In addition, Felixstone had expanded its agriculture area and added new wind turbines.
Regarding the northern area, the old Felixstone had farmland, which was adjacent to two rows of shops separating with the high street. In the next 34 years, this farmland was replaced by an indoor facility complex including a swimming pool, hotel, and tennis courts. Additionally, the row of shops next to the left of the farmland had been displaced with apartments in 2001.
In terms of the town facilities in the South, the marina disappeared to make way for the public beach and the hotel had been narrowed to give space to the car park. While the fish market had been replaced with the private beach, the cafe had remained unchanged over the period. Besides, the expansion of the cultivation area and the addition of wind turbines played an important role in providing fresh air and electricity for all of the residents.
