The bar graph illustrates global sales of mobile phones (in millions) by three different renowned companies between 2010 to 2020, andthe table gives information about the proportion of using mobile features by people over the same period.
Overall, it is evident that the sales of mobile phones changed considerably from 2010 to 2020. It is also noticeable that the highest percentage of people using mobile phones for making calls and exchanging texts over the 10 years period.
Regarding sales figures, Nokia led in 2010 with around 15 millions units sold, compared to roighly 10 millions for Samsung and a smaller figures for Xiaomi. Over the following 10 years, the sales figures of Samsung and Xiaomi rose steadily, but Nokia saw a significant drop of 7 millions in sales over the period.
With regard to features usage, nearly 100% of people used handset for making calls in 2010, which was was almost double the percentage of people who used mobile phones to send or recieving texsts. In the same year, taking photos was the second most popular mobile features, at 70%. Between 2010 and 2020, the percentage of people who used cell phones to take photos and text messaging increased from 70% and 50% to 89% and 95% respectively. In contrast, Making calls was the only feature that decreased slightly by 9% over the period of 10 years.
