The United States has dominated on R & D spending from 2001 to 2011 while Spain spent the least starting 2001, the US has spent at least 2.1% of their GDP on R & D to 2.2% of 2011. Meanwhile, Spain has spent at least below 1.4% percent of their GDP on R&D in 2007 and then 1.8% percent of 2011.
