The bar chart illustrates the research and progress in different countries from 2001 to 2011, due to spending from gross domestic.

Overall, the graph shows the declined in Spain and flactuation in four other countries. While the USA shows the highest income in the overall graph.

First of all, China has the GDP percentage under 1 in 2001, around 2 in 2005 and 2011. Whereas, France has the percentage of GDP above 2 in the whole years shown in diagram. However, Spain shows the overall lowest percentage from the other four countries approximately 1 in 2001 and above 1 percentage in 2005 and 2011.

On the other hand, UK displayed the relatively same percentage under 2 percentage in the whole period. While USA experienced the elevated percentage of income on research and development in the whole graph near 3%.
