The bar chart compares how much money was spent on five types of consumer goods in four European countries, namely Belgium, Spain, Austria and Britain.
Overall, it can be seen that Britain spent the highest amount of money on almost all products, while Belgium generally recorded the lowest figures.
Regarding console games, outdoor games and cosmetics, Britain was the biggest spender in all three categories. Spending on console games in Britain was about 155 thousand pounds, slightly higher than Spain, while Belgium and Austria spent similar but lower amounts. A comparable trend can be seen in outdoor game accessories, where Britain again ranked first, whereas Austria recorded the lowest figure at just over 140 thousand pounds. For cosmetics, Britain remained the leading country with approximately 160 thousand pounds, while Belgium spent the least among the four nations.
In terms of books, Britain and Austria spent more than Belgium and Spain, at around 160 and 155 thousand pounds respectively. Spending on toys was also high, especially in Britain, which reached nearly 170 thousand pounds. Finally, cameras attracted the highest expenditure overall, with Britain leading and Belgium remaining at the bottom.
