The bar chart illustrates the proportion of shares in five different Brazilian industries in 2009 and 2019, as well as the projection for 2029. The measurements were indicated by percentages. Overall, it is evident from the chart that each industry experienced corresponding rises, falls, and stagnancy over the period.
In detail, the proportion of the Finance sector far exceeded those of the other four sectors, rising considerably from just 31% in 2009 to 37% in 2019, finishing at the projection of 42% in 2029, accounting for the highest proportion at all times. In contrast, the proportion of the Manufacturing sector experienced a sharp drop, with 21% in 2009 falling to 17% in 2019, before plunging to only 5% in 2029, accounting for the lowest projection among the other four industries.
The pattern for the Food Processing and Oil, Coal, and Gas sectors followed a similar trend. The proportion of Food Processing sector grew from 10% in 2009 to 21% in 2019, whereas the proportion of Oil, Coal, and Gas climbed from 26% in 2009 to 31% in 2019. However, the projections for both sectors accounted for 11% and 26% respectively. As for the Tourism sector, after the proportion declined from 26% in 2009 to 21% in 2019, the predicted figure remained the same in 2029.
It can be understood that the Finance sector was the only sector that experienced significant growth over the time frame, whereas the other sectors’ figures went down or remained stagnant after 2019.
