The bar chart illustrates how many travellers from three different countries, namely the UK, the USA,, and Japan visited to Australia from 1995 to 2005. The line graph gives the information about the number of tourists from three examined countries chose two types of stay during ten years of the period.
Overall, there was an increase in the number of people from the UK and the USA visited to Australia, the opposite was true for Japan. In addition, it was also notable that the figure for visitors chose staying at hotels consistently highest for the entire period.
As can be seen in the bar chart, about 800,000 tourists came to Australia for travelling in 1995, with a significant rise to about 15 million in 2005. A similar change can be seen in the figure for the USA, which grew considerably from approximately 400,000 to roughly 15 million, having the same figure with the UK in the same year. By contrast, the number of Japanese travelled to Australia was about just over 14 million, after which it experienced a slight decline to around 11 million in the last year of the period.
Regarding the line graph, the type of staying at hotels witnessed about 1.6 million people chose to relax when travelling in 1995, followed by a substantial increase to reach a peak of 2.5 million people in 2000, before falling significantly to around 1.3 million for the following five years. The figure for visitors chose backpacking type saw a different change, rising gradually from 300.000 people to about 1.2 million at the end of the period
