The bar chart depicts how males and females of alternative employment status enjoyed free time in a typical week.
Overall, although the amount of leisure time spent by men was greater than that of women across most employment status, the opposite was true for part time occupations and housewives. While both genders spent most time on leisure activities when being under unemployment and retirement, no males were part-time employees and homemakers.
Only about nearly 40 hours enjoyed by females doing full time and part time employment, which is the least leisure time for women. Compared to the amount of leisure time of part time employed women (40 hours), the figure for housewives was about 10 hours greater than that. Women not going to work, obviously had more spare time than other groups, standing at approximately 75 hours of leisure time.
Conversely, male teenagers and adults, employed full time, experienced about 49 hour-period to entertain themselves. Otherwise, unemployed and retired males took over 80 hours to do whatever they want, except for work. By constract, there was no males doing part time jobs or househusbands.
