This report will describe a bar chart comparing the average time of housework between females (divided to three category of unemployed, part-time and full time employed) and males (with full-time job) in the UK from 1985 to 2005 with a gape of 10 year.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that men with full-time job spent the least time on housework, while unemployed women had the highest average of house keeping.
Women with no job devoted the highest time to house keeping among all given categories with the average of 7 hours. Also, the figure of part-time employment females accounted for the second-highest , which started with approximately 5 hours in 1985 and reached 6 hours in 2005.
By stark contrast, males with full-time job spent the lowest amount on doing housework, with only 1 hour in 1985 and 1995; however, it saw a gentle increase to about 90 minutes in 2005. Similarly, the pattern of women with full-time employment rose from 2 hours to just below 3 hours in the years 1985 and 2005, respectively.
