The provided bar graph compares various countries in terms of the number of travelers went to Australia while the line graph provided the information about the number of tourists choosing two ways of travel:staying at motel or backpacking from 1995 to 2005.
Overall,it is clearly seen that while The UK and US had the same growth in the figures, the opposite was true for Japan with the downgrade in the number of foreign guest to Australia. Moreover, despite the contrasting trends, both types of travel had the same number people at the end of the period.
Initially, the figure of Japan led the way with roughly 1,5 millions people, two times and three times higher than that of UK(800 thousands)and US(500 thousands),respectively. However,in the next decade,a dramatic fall was observed in the Japan’s number with only 1 millions people at the end of period, whereas a significant increase was witnessed in both UK and US’s citizens travelling to Australia with similarly around the same level as Japan’s 2005s one, overtook Japan to both become the major numbers in the same interval.
Regarding the other chart,in 1995,people chose the backpacking’type of travel were outweighed that of staying at resorts ,around 1 millions higher. In next 10 years, booking a hotel were more common with the noticeable rise in the number of tourists to merely above 1 millions person, simultaneously, the figure of backpacking declined to the same level after reaching its peak in 2000 at approximately 2,5 millions individual.
