The bar chart illustrates the percentage of individuals in five different age categorie in the UK who used online banking in years 2010 and 2025.
Overall, age group of people 25-34 showed the highest results in both years, while people age of 55+ showed the opposite. The users of online banking increased in every age group by 2025.
Looking first at 2010, about 60% of people aged 18-24 used online banking. It was slightly less than those of adults aged 25-34 which were recorded 70% of using online banking. Approximately 65% of people aged 35-44 used digital banking in given year, 2010, compared with people 50% of people aged 45-54. Finally, about 25% of people aged 55 and above have used online banking.
Returning to the 2025, more than 90% of individuals aged 18-24 were using digital banking. The figure was marginally more in group of people aged 25-34, about 95%. Approximately, 85% of people aged 35-44 were using digital banking in given year. In the group of people aged 45-54 online banking users rose up to about 80%. The percentage of online banking usage doubled in group of people aged 55+.
