The bar chart illustrates the proportions of male and female students graduating in five different subject areas, interms of Engineering, Sciences, Health, Business & Mngt, and Humanities & Arts Humanities & Arts in a particular country in 2023. It is clear that the percentage of Males students graduating dominated Engineering and Business & Management, while there were females had higher percentages in Sciences, Health, and Humanities & Arts.
Regarding male graduates, in 2023, the proportion of males in Engineering was 40%, which was higher than the figures in the other subjects. In Sciences, the percentage of male graduates stood at 25%, which was 10% lower than that of Business & Management. The proportion of males in Health was the lowest point, at approximately 15%, whereas, in Humanities & Arts, the figure for males reached 20%.
Turning to female graduates, the percentage of females graduating in Health was 45% (the highest figure recorded on the chart), which was more than four times the figure for males in the same subject. In Humanities & Arts, 35% of graduates were female, which was 15% higher than the male figure. In Sciences, the proportion of female graduates was 30%, slightly exceeding the figure for males. Meanwhile, in Business & Management, the percentage of females’ graduates stood at 30%, which was 5% lower than the proportion of males. Engineering showed the lowest percentage of female graduates, at approximately 10%.
