Generally, it is conspicuous that most individuals consumed more than suggested amounts of salt apart from children who were under 6 years old. In addition, male had the intention to use more salt than women.
Regarding ideal salt intake, which was 2500 milligrams, the number of salt consumed by individuals under 6 and over 60 nearly acquired that standard. The numbers of salt used by the former were the smallest. with only 2250 and 1300 milligrams respectively for boys and girls, which were about 2 times lower than that of the oldest groups, with 3500 and 2500 milligrams respectively for men and women.
Looking further at the remaining groups, there was no notably different trend among each age group. The salt intake of all aforementioned groups’ women consumed 3000 milligrams, whereas from-6-to-19 and from-40-to-60 men possessed salt intake ranged from 3500 to 4300. The amount of salt consumed by middle-aged men, from 20 to 39, was highest, at 4500 in the surveyed year.
