In a general overview, it can be seen that salt intake of all the age groups had supassed the recommended daily intake, expect the toddlers, and males consumed more salt than females.

The preferred salt intake for human body is 2300 mg which was taken by females of 6-11, 60-69, and 70 above age groups; however, men consumed significant amount of salt which was 2700 mg, 3800 mg and 4100 mg for the above age groups respectively.
