The given bar chart compares the unit scales of different goods including clothing, household items, garden, electrical equipment, and children’s toy, being sold in pounds over four seasons in the UK in 2015.
Overall, people tended to purchase brand-new products in some given categories more in winter, except for household items and garden which were highly sold in spring and also autumn in case of garden goods.
Clothing, electrical equipment, and children’s toy recorded the highest sales in winter which were respectively nearly 110000, 80000, and 60000 pounds for each. Following this, the sales of clothing in Spring also were 100000 which were 20000 and about 30000 pounds higher than these figures for summer and autumn respectively. In terms of electrical equipment, in spring and autumn, it recorded the similar figure which was 60000 for each, whereas these goods were sold at least in summer. For children’s toy, the sales were 40000, 20000, and around 30000 respectively in autumn, summer, and spring.
In contrast, household and garden goods being mostly sold in spring, when 80000 and 40000 products in each category were sold. In autumn, the similar sales of garden goods were recorded while the figure of household items was 60000. Lastly, those figures for summer and winter were about 70000 and 50000 for household items, and just below 40000 and 20000 for garden goods.
