The chart provides information about the ways of getting daily news among people of different ages. Overall, it can be seen that social media and radio have opposite tendencies. While social networking becomes less popular among older generation, radio, in conrast, is less interesting to youth. Meanwhile, microbloging is recorded at relatively similar figures.
Regarding social media, it is used by both teenagers and young adults similarly, at 70% by each age group. However, there is a steady decline as people get older, at 50% and less.
In conrast, radio has the highest proportion (slightly more than 90%) among group aged 18-29. In addition other age groups, except for the youngest one, show relatively similar numbers between 80% to 90%.
As for microbloging, it has the lowest figures in comparison to other types of media. According to the chart, microbloging is the most popular (20%) among those who are almost 20 or in their twenties. The other groups are not as interested in it as they are in other means of media in order to get news.
