Overall, it’s clear from the graph that the investment in China had a downward trend each year. In addition, it showed an enormous growth in 2018. Whereas India’s figures witnessed a fluctuating trend throughout the given period.
According to what is shown, despite the gradual decrease, the capital expenditure in China had the highest figures. In 2014 the investment in China was just under 98 billion. While in 2015 and 2016 the amount of money spent dropped significantly to approximately 60 billion before the sharp increase in 2018 to just above 100 billion. Although it decreased dramatically in 2019 to around 45 billion.
In terms of India, in 2014 the foreign investments were the same as in 2017 and 2019, around 25 billion. Meanwhile, a significant increase can be observed in 2015 and 2016 to approximately 60 billion before a sharp fall in 2017 to just above 20 billion. Then India witnessed an upward trend to nearly 60 billion. However, it fell back again to 2017 levels in 2019.
