The bar charts show young Europeans’ views on changes in five different areas: health, air quality, water quality, food quality, and communication between people over the next 20 years.
Overall, it is immediately apparent that young people do not have high expectations for the areas mentioned. Additionally, air quality is the least prioritized, while communication between people is the only area expected to improve significantly.
A closer inspection of the figures reveals that communication between people is expected to increase by more than 60%, which is three times higher than air quality, which stands at only 23%. Moreover, food quality is expected to remain stable, with about 50% of young people anticipating both improvements and deterioration.
While the two aspects mentioned earlier show positive trends, the opposite can be seen in the remaining areas. Young people have relatively similar expectations for health and water quality, with 40% of them expecting improvement. Meanwhile, only 23% of respondents expect air quality to improve in a 20-year time period.
