The given bar chart depicts the number of five distinct work types of Australian employees in two separate years. Units are measured in numbers.
Overall, it is conspicuous that sales, computing and nursing displayed an increased trend. Another visible trend is that both accounting and faring showed a descending trend.
Initially, there were three work types that became more popular after seven years. Sales was the most favourite job among the other four. It started from the highest point at 1,80,000 in 2001 then gradually increased to 1,90,000 Australian employees in 2008. Meanwhile, computing experienced an uplift trend from 1,00,000 in 2001 to 1,10,000 in 2008. At the same time, nursing showed an upward trajectory over the past 7 years. It slightly increased from approximately 42,000 to 45,000 in 2008.
Nevertheless, a downward trend was observed among accounting and farming. Accounting employees slightly decreased from 90,000 to 80,000 over the years. Moreover, farming witnessed a gradual fall from around 25,000 to 20,000 in 2008. It is noticeable that the hierarchy of the five work categories remained unchanged after seven years.
