Overall, in three cities populations increased over the period. Sao Paulo recorded the largest population, while Jakarta had the smallest population throughout the period. In addition, the real number of population exceeded predicted number in all three cities.
In 1990, population size of the Sao Paulo accounted for highest at approximately 17 million, whereas Jakarta total was lowest at around 8 million. The population statistic of Shanghai recorded at about 12 million.
In 2000, real number of the population was higher. In Sao Paulo forecasted data was at approximately 22 million however actual number at around 24 million. Meanwhile, Jakarta value also predicted increase to about 11 million, but real number was at approximately 12 million. By contrast, in statistic of Shanghai have predicted decrease to 11 million, but actual number is increased to 15 million. This is the biggest gap between forecasted and real number of population for 2000.
