Overall, both guitar and piano learners witnessed a significant growth throughout given period, with guitar becoming the most popular instrument in 2015. In contrast, drums and violin stayed relatively low and saw a little increase.
In 2005, piano and guitar were the most popular instruments, with around 12% and 10% respectively. By the following phase in 2010, piano learners were estimated by 20%, whereas guitar players stood at approximately 18%. In the final year, both guitar and piano learners saw a rapid increase in proportion, with guitar players having slightly more. To be specific, guitar students went from 18% to 40% compared to piano players who went from 20% to about 38% in 2015.
In terms of violin and drums, they remained the least popular over the given period. In 2005, approximately 3% of students played at drums and this trend stayed unchanged untill 2015, where it slightly rose to just under 10%. Regarding to violin players, it represented around 8% in the year 2005. By following phase, the percentage slightly decreased from 8% to 6% in 2010. By the end of the period, violin students came to just around 5%
