The bar graph displays the amount of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the United Kingdom within the period 1995-2002, seperated into three categories.
To start off, as amply demonstrated by the graph, the local line was the most used one, surpassing other options in all the given years. In the year 1995, the total number of minutes of calls made via the local line was a little more than 70 units. By the year 1999, it had reached its peak—90 units. However, approaching to the end of the period, the figures had started to gradually fall. And eventually, stayed at its first position.
Regarding the more promisinig ones, the national and international lines and mobile calls began at roughly 35 and under 5 billions of minutes, respectively. Nonetheless, over the time they started to be a more preferred option by the Britons, with former steadily climbing up to just a little higher than 60 billions. It is reflected in the numbers that the latter gained widespread popularity by increasing to nearly 50 units from around 5 billions, growing tenfold.
Overall, whereas the use of local line declined, that of the nationwide and global line as as well as mobile calls steadily gained widespread recognition.
