Overall, the teachers in USA spent the highest amount time to impact knowledge skill and attitude to students than all the three countries. It can also be seen that educators in Japan used the least hours for teach whereas Spain and Iceland made use of almost the same time for teaching.
Regarding teaching in USA, Upper secondary teachers, invested the most hours in teaching, representing approximately 1200 hours, followed by the hours spent by the classroom facilitators in in lower secondary (1000 hours) and least was that primary school teachers who used nearly 700 hours.
In the case of Japan, teachers in this country spent 1950 hours. Out of this, Upper primary, lower primary teachers and primary teachers spent 600 hours, 650 hours and 600 hours respectively to perform their duties in classroom as teachers.
Considering Spain, Iceland and Japan, Spain and Iceland spent equal amount of time in the classroom totaling 2050 hours for all the basic levels of secondary education. It is important to observe that , teachers in Japan had the minimum contact hours in this level of education using only 1950 hours in all the classes on the secondary educational ladder.
