The bar chart provides data on the number of members in a leisure centre’s clubs, divided into two age groups: people aged 25-35 and people aged 55-65.
Overall, it is evident that the younger age group has a much higher preference for physical and creative activities like cycling and arts, whereas the older group’s common interest is gardening. In contrast, the number of members in clubs such as photography and music is identical between the two groups.
The most significant differences between the two age groups are in the Cycling, Arts and Crafts, and Gardening clubs. Cycling is by far the most popular activity for the 25-35 age group, attracting around 65 members, while the older age group has the lowest members here, with only 10 members. Similarly, the younger group shows a strong interest in Arts and Crafts, attracting 60 members which is exactly three times more than the older group’s 20 members. In contrast, the Gardening club is the most popular for the 55-65 age group, with 55 members, whereas the youngth age group only has 25 members.
For the remaining clubs, the numbers of members are more distributed across both age groups. The Photography club has a similar number of members from both groups, at about 45 per. In contrast, the Fitness and Music/Dance clubs also have a equal number of members. The Fitness club has 55 members from the younger group compared to 50 from the older group, while the Music/Dance club has just over 50 members from the 25-35 age group and 50 members from the 55-65 age group.
