The diagram demonstrates information about the number of people aged 25-35 and 55-65 who joined different departments at a leisure center in a tiny town.
Although there was a striking surplus of older participants in the gardening club, younger people were much more than their older counterparts in the arts and crafts and cycling clubs. Conversely, the numbers of participants from both of the age groups were nearly equal in the photography, fitness, and music and dance clubs.
Around 24 participants aged 25-35 showed an interest in gardening, while more than 52 older individuals took part in such an activity. However, this trend is reversed in the cycling and the arts and crafts clubs, in which there were more than 64 and around 60 younger participants, compared to only 10 and 20 older participants in the two departments, respectively.
The difference seems to even out in the remaining three clubs. In the gardening department, around 45 individuals joined from each group. In the fitness departments, the difference is very small, as there were about 55 younger participants and 50 older ones. Finally, there was an even smaller difference between the two groups in the music and dance club, in which about 53 and 50 younger and older participants joined, respectively.
