Band 5: The bar graph below shows the numbers of male and female research students studying 6 computer science subjects at a US university in 2011. (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The given bar chart provides information regarding the distribution of students in six different computers science subjects in US university in 2011.

Overall, it is apparent from the chart that natural sciences, psychology and mathematics were well-educated subjects in given year. In contrast, linguistics were the least popular between males and females. The other two types showed similar trend in 2011.

To commence, in terms of males, the predominant point of studying US university subjects were showed similar manner, particularly psychology, natural science and maths, and it was 200 research students. Engineering and programming were reached plateau rate.

In terms of females, the most substantial point in natural sciences subjects and it reached at peak 299 students. Interestingly, there were significantly and incrementally increased and it started approximately 40 students and it reached culmination point with 200 students in natural sciences. Linguistics, engineering and programming were marginally changed. Ultimately, psychology was the second largest subject among females and it was about 170 students
