The bar chart gives information about proportion of working males and females between 60 to 64 age group in four different countries in 1970 and 2000.
Overall, it is clear that employment rates in the Belgium ,USA, Japan and Indonesia among elderly people display downward trend in both the years.
To begin with , in 1970 the ratio of working elderly men was around 78% and for women percentage was 60%. However, the ratio of both employed male and females decreased to approximate 50% and 5%. Moreover, in the USA there were 80% of employed male and nearly 70% of females,the ratio slightly decreased for both the genders and remained at around 78% and 40%.
In Japan ,the proportion was nearly 78% for males and around 50% for females in 1970, in 2000 the ratio of male showed at decline trend of 60% and 40% for female in Indonesia male was 80% and female was 60% which decreased in 2000 and remain at 75% and 45%
