The pie chart illustrates the proportion of tourists by regions of their origins. In addition, the table demonstrates three elements, including average number of days of stay, most common accommodation, and main activities, of tourists by region of origin.
Overall, most of the travellers originate from European nations and the USA, and the Europeans tend to spend most time travelling. Nevertheless, the accommodation and activity preferences vary.
Regarding the pie chart, the percentage of visitors coming from Europe and America topped the list, at 37% and 35%, respectively. While only 10% of Asian people spend time travelling, 18% of people from other regions do so.
Turning to the table, even though the average length of stay of American and European tourists lasts from 14 to 16 days, that of visitors from Asia and other regions is only from 7 to 10 days. The Asian and American share the same preferences as they both enjoy staying in 5-star or 4-star hotels and going sightseeing. However, camping or caravan are the most popular types of accommodation among travellers originating from Europe and other regions. Moreover, although the prevalent activity among people from other areas is surfing, that of the Europeans is swimming or sunbathing.
