The graph below provides information on the number of participants at a social centre in Melbourne, Australia, for the period from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, it can be seen that the film club was the most popular activity throughout the period. Meanwhile, the table tennis and the musical performances experienced the biggest growth, while amateur dramatics saw a significant fall.
To begin with, dramatic changes were seen in three different activities: amateur dramatics, table tennis, and musical performances. For example, the number of participants in the drama club in the period between 2000 and 2005 was relatively stable at around 25 participants. However, it fell rapidly from thirty to five participants by 2020. During that time, the table tennis counted about fifteen to eighteen players for 10 years from 2000. Then, it immediately jumped and reached its peak of 55 people in 2020. In addition, the musical club also had a rise from its start in 2005 with zero participants to 20 musicians at the end of the period.
In contrast, two activities, the film club and martial arts, remained relatively stable without significant changes. The first one had more than 60 individuals throughout the whole period and held the leading position. The Martial arts reached its lowest points in 2005 and 2015 with 30 people, but in other years, it always had about 40 participants.
