The bar graph below shows the data about birth and death rates in Switzerland between 1975 and 2025.
Overall, birth and death rates were at similar level in the beginning of the period. However, in the middle of the given period it is clear to see that the highest level of death rate started to decreasing in the following year. Although, at the same time when death rate reached its largest proportion, the rate of birth started rocketing all over the period.
There was small increase between 1975 and 1985 appoximately 1.3 millions. The next year the rate achived to the top at about 1.5 milions. When death rate have reached to peak level, it decreased significantly decade by decade.
At the beginning of the period, birth rate started its growth after 1985, before the proportion were identical to nearly 1.2 milions. After decage, birth rate jumped up to 1.7 milion which was the way of increasing gradually decade by decade.
In conclusion, in the period of 1975-2025, the death rate was outweighing the birth rate, but it then dropped in steady increments to a low of almost 1 million people. On the other hand, the birth rate jumped from 1 to 3.5 million people.
