The proportion of citizens in Latin America has always been the highest over the other three, while this figure in Africa and Asia has been similarly from 1950 to 2000, it is predicted to show a trivial difference in the future.
In 1950, the rate of urban population in Latin America started at over 40%, which is the highest number in the four parts, passed the average of The Whole World, which only about 30% at the same time. After which, this figure experienced a significant rose by 30%, while the urban residents percentage of The Whole World only increased by two third of this rate, around 20% in 2000. Finally, Latin America city’s populaion rate is predicted to reach it peak at 80% in 2030, while The Whole World is forecasted to grow to 60% in the end of the period.
Africa and Asia have experienced the similar trend in the first fifty years. These figures started from approximately 10% and 12% in 1950, both proportion followed by a noticeable increased by the same amount, around 28% in 2000. However, in 2030, an increase by 15% in the percentage of citizens is predicted in Asia, while Africa is predicted to see a smaller increase of just over 10%, this create a slight gap between these parts.
