It is clear that swimming was the most popular sport among both sexes in the year 2008, while the opposite was true for jogging. In addition, the biggest difference was in the proportion of males and females joining in netball.
The percentage of males who took part in soccer accounted for 24%, while the figure for females made up only 5%. In contrast, At 20%, the figure for males playing other sports was 2 times as many as that of females. Meanwhile, there were 9% males who participated in table tennis, compared to 3% females. The proportion of males who took part in cricket was 10%, while the figure for females made up only 1%. Tennis had an equal proportion of males and females with appromately 7%.
The percentage of females playing in swimming was 22%, in comparison with 14% males. Meanwhile, the proportion of females who took part in netball was 25%, while the figure for males accounted for only 1%. The percentage of players playing in basketball was nearly equal , at around 7% for both genders. Lastly, there were 4% females who participated in jogging made up 4%, compared with 3% males
