The bar graph illustrates the ratio of salaries to expenses of American people in dollars categorized according to the age in the year 2023.
Overall, it can be said that, the age range between 25 and 74, had greater income as compared to their expenses while, youngsters below the age of 25, use to spend more than they earn. In stark contrast, elders above the age of 75, spend the same amount as they earn.
Adults younger than 25, earned approximately 28,000; however, they spend 2000 more than what they earn. People aged 45-54 had the highest income, closely trailed by 35-44 and 55-64 at around 78,000, 77,000 and 74,000 respectively. Their expenses also followed the same trend as their salaries. However, the age groups between 25-74 use to spend quite less than their incomes.
While, older adults aged over 75, showed a different trend, they spent as much as they earn.
