The barchart illustrates percentagewise British individuals donating money to charity by age range from 18 years to greater than 65 years in the year 1990 and 2010.
Overall, British people in their middle age had the highest donations in 1990 as majority of the donors were the younger generation compared to the older ones, while on the other hand, the proportion of donors in 2010 were more in older generation.
In 1990, in the first 50 years, the largest percentage of British donors were ages between 36 -50 years old at about 43% in addition to those between 18-25 years old at about 16% being almost twice the proportion of about 32% in ages between 26-35 years old. Those of 51 years to above 65 years were outranked by the year 2010 at about 35% in 51-65 years and about 32% in greater than 65 years old.
In 2010, as the ages increased so was the number of British givers. At 18-25 years recorded the least at about 8% followed by 26-35 years old that peaked to slightly below a quatre percent. 36-50 and above 65 years old tied at about 35% ,51 -65 years having the highest of them all at about 38%.
