Overall, the age bands 35 to 49 and 50 to 64 percentages were relatively similar and also dominated the percentage of Canadian donors in 2000 and 2015, meanwhile band 65 and over came to the third place before band 25 to 34, On the other hand, age range from 18 to 24 occupied the lowest share.
With regard to age groups 35 to 49 and 50 to 64, they both held the highest proportions amongst all age bands, However, there was some variance between them. In 2000, age group 35 to 49 was slightly less than 40% but made a significant drop to around 34% in 2015. In contrary with group 50 to 64, it stood almost 34% in 2000 and grew dramatically to nearly 38% in 2015.
On the other hand, age groups 65 and over and 25 to 34, were taking third and fourth place in shares respectively, 65 and over was initiated with slightly more than 30% in 2000 followed by steady increase to 34% in 2015. while age band 25 to 34 had the opposite manner, where it amounted under 30% in 2000 before being affected by a drop in 2015 to 25%. The people aged 18 to 24 made the lowest share, they were 20% in 2000 and made a massive decline in 2015 to 10%.
