Overall, the number of people employed in sales experienced a gradual overall increase throughout the period, while the reverse was true for farming. Computing and nursing recorded a noticeable increase in their second year, while accounting almost remained unchanged in both years.
Regarding the number of people who are employed in Australia, Sales recorded the highest figure for both years, rising from 150,000% in 2001 to 165,000% in 2008. Accounting remained approximately unchanged in both years over the period, slightly declining from 70,000% in 2001 to 61,000% in 2008.
Focusing on the computing and nursing categories, they both considerably increased from 59,000% and 58,000% in 2001 to 79,000% and 61,000% in 2008. By contrast, Farming showed the most significant decline over the span, falling marginally from 21,000% in 2001 to 19,000% in 2008
