Throughout the period shown we can see that usage of washing machine, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner were increased among the period. The number of hours per week that were spent doing housework were declined dramatically during the period.
It is clear that, the usage of fridge wat at the bottom in 1920. But it grew considerably over the 6 decades. Initially in 1980 it reached the plateau. Whereas, usage of vacuum cleaner stood at 30 percentage. It went up significant untill 2000 when it reached the peak. Need of washing machine was high rather than refrigerator and vacuum cleaner. It was stood at 40 percentage in 1920 and it increased untill 1960. There was a little drop on usage of it in 1980 and then it started growing.In 2019 it increased more than 70 percentage.
