The data displays the amount of money such pharmaceutical companies as Novas, Fleming, Biopharm, Avicenna and Pharm spent on subject study from 2012 to 2018. Also graph shows forecast of expenses in 2022.
Overall, all companies showed an upward trend throughout the period with significant rise in their spendings. Each company started below 10 billion and, according to estimate, end 2022 with more than 50 billion.
In 2012 company with the largest expenses was Pharm with approximately nine billion dollars and the company with least spends was Biopharm with around half billion. But throughout the period, the poorest company increase their expenses from ten to twenty times, while pharm rise their spending for only twenty percent. In the 2020 an estimate of the amounts spent for Biopharm is ten percent higher then Pharm with 25 and 22 billion dollars respectively.
Other three companies had quite similar spends in 2012 with from 3 to 5 billion dollars. Nevertheless, in 2018 these three companies had variety from 10 to 15 billion dollars. Moreover, it is forecasted, that in 2022, Novas estimate research expenses with more than 50 billion. In the same year, Fleming and Avicenna are planning to spend 14 and 10 billion respectively.
