The bar chart illustrates the number of men and women who took part in fitness activities during three decades starting from 1970.
Overall, it is obvious that men tended to participate in fitness classes more than women generally. Although the quantity of females was half of the males in the beginning of the period, it became complete opposite at the end.
Looking at the details, the number of men who were fitness members was almost more than double of women by 2000 in 1970.Afterwards, not only the number of girls who attended fitness classes soared considerably but also it happened in the same way for boys in 1975. Both groups declined significantly for the next ten years. Even though the number of male members rose moderately until 190, the number of females continued to decrease. Figure demonstrates that the quantity of men jumped to 5000, whereas the rise in the quantity of women were slightly in 1995. Both groups experienced another decline until 2000. While the number of boys reached 1000 which is 5 times lower, the graph for girls depicts a moderate reduction by 2000.
