The bar graph illustrates the number of males and females who took part in fitness activities during the period between 1985 and 2015.
It is clear that the data on fitness membership among Thai males and females witnessed a significant fluctuation over 30 years. Additionally, both genders had the highest demand for fitness memberships in 2010.
In 1985, approximately 2100 Thai men was members of fitness clubs, compared to only 1200 female members. In the next five years, the number of men members increased significantly to 3800 before experiencing a gradual fall of 2000 people in 2000. Meanwhile, there was a slight fluctuation around 2000 in the number of women fitness participants between 1990 and 2000.
As can be seen from the graph, the number of Thai male fitness members rose significantly and reached a peak of 5000 in 2010 before hitting its lowest point of 1000 members in 2015. Meanwhile, female fitness participants witnessed a fall to 2100 in 2005, but later reached a peak of approximately 3000 members in 2010. At the end of the period, in 2015, the figure for female fitness members declined to 2000, which was two times as high as that of males.
