Overall ,percentage increased for all three groups over the period , picking in 2006 . Women consistantly recorded the highest figure , while children had the lowest consumption levels throughout the years.
2001, roughly 22% of women met the daily recommendation, compared to around 17% of men and just 12% of children. Over the next five years, all three groups saw steady growth, with the largest increase occurring among women, whose figure reached about 35% in 2006. Men followed a similar upward trend, rising to approximately 28%, while the proportion of children also climbed, peaking at roughly 25% in the same year.
After 2006, there was a gradual decline in consumption for all groups. By 2008, women’s figure had fallen slightly to around 30%, men’s to just over 25%, and children’s to about 22%. Despite these decreases, the percentages in 2008 still remained higher than in 2001 for each category
