The bar chart compares the number of heart attacks among men and women in different age groups in the USA.
In general, it is evident that males are at higher risk of suffering heart attacks than females in all age groups. In addition, the figure of heart attacks increases significantly with age for both genders.
Regarding people in the 29-44 age group, around 123,000 men are affected by heat attacks, compared to only 3,000 women. Among those aged 45-64, the figure for men rises considerably to 424,000. Similarly, the number for females who experience heart attacks also jumps significantly, reaching 136,000, but it remains much lower than the figure for men.
In the oldest category (65+), the total of males peaks at 440,000. Although this represents just a slight increase, the number for women records the most dramatic growth, climbing to 374,000. As a result, the gap between males and females becomes much narrower in this age group.
