With a brief glance at the data, it can be suggested that married men without children spend a little less than 20 hours a week unpaid labor, whereas married female population in the same position spend exactly thirty hours per week on household responsibilities. That number steadily increases, going up to 50 hours for mothers of 1-2 children and 60 hours a week for married women with more than three children.
in contrast, married men’s time spent doing chores for free slightly declines as they have more children, data suggesting that it decrease from around 19 hours to approximately 17 hours.
